KINGTOMMI 16X9

KINGTOMMIDK

TUESDAY 2 JULY

Intense and contrasting show cruises eclectically between rap, rock and alternative pop

Heartfelt emotion and reckless energy combine in Kingtommi's versatile and contrasting universe. In his solo project, Danish-New Zealander Thomas Mulcahy (also known as part of the band Uden Ord) embraces a wide range of genres and expressions. There are poppy melodies, crooning ballads, sweaty hip-hop and rock star attitude, and although it's varied, Kingtommi pulls it all together with the utmost confidence.

He broke through with the excellent EP helt ind til knoglerne in 2022, which garnered critical acclaim for its strong personal expression and ability to surprise the listener along the way with quirky and improvisational elements.

Kingtommi also brings these contrasts, surprises and strong empathy to the stage, where he demands silence and contemplation from his audience one moment, only to urge the crowd into a wild mosh pit right after.

Kingtommi doesn't just put the audience to work, though. He also gives back generously when he takes the stage with a full band and virtuosically draws the audience into his diverse kingdom that branches out in many musical directions. A true original who will undoubtedly deliver an intense show at Roskilde.
