Selvhenter originates from the exciting Copenhagen music collective Eget Værelse and since their formation in 2010, they have built a reputation as one of Denmark's strongest live acts. They have also received international acclaim at a host of festivals for their instrumental sound, which features breathtaking interplay, trance-inducing rhythms, and raw physical power. 

With two drummers, a saxophonist and a trombonist playing through a bass amplifier, Selvhenter sound like no other. And although they are sometimes classified as a jazz orchestra of sorts, the four musicians connect paths of rumbling noise rock, free jazz, African polyrhythms, electronica, and krautrock in their own baffling universe. 

After a lengthy album hiatus, Selvhenter returned in 2023 with the dazzling album Mesmerizer, which truly lives up to its title with its pulsating and hypnotic expression. The album has not only received excellent reviews in Denmark, but has also garnered international acclaim, including "Album of the Week" at The Quietus. 

Get ready for a unique and immersive concert experience at eye level. Selvhenter will take over the floor itself for a very special floor show at Avalon, which is dedicated to extreme and punk music all Wednesday. Expect intense performances, stage changes at the speed of sound, and outstanding musicality that goes straight to the heart – and right in the face.
