On paper, it may sound simple. It's all the more surprising when you're exposed to the Danish trio Smag På Dig Selv's dizzying musical onslaught, whose distinctive blend of punk, jazz and open musical horizons has made them one of Scandinavia’s wildest live bands. 

Not many years ago, the trio from the free town Christiania was a hot underground tip, but their mind-blowing concerts have made word of mouth travel fast, and now the trio is playing sold-out concerts at some of Denmark's leading venues. This despite of the fact that their roots in minimalist, experimental and instrumental jazz with two saxophones and a drummer are miles away from the musical mainstream. 

However, when you experience the trio on stage, you quickly understand why so many have already surrendered. Smag På Dig Selv is an extraordinary live experience that captivates the audience with a boundless mix of punk energy, jazzy interplay, danceable Afrobeat, acoustic EDM and much more. 

One moment you're dancing to obsessive grooves, the next you're headbanging wildly, and time and time again your jaw drops in admiration of the trio's superior musicianship. This also happened when the trio visited Roskilde Festival in 2022 with a liberating musical party. This year they finally release their debut album, where they continue to explore new musical horizons, and with that album under their belts, they return to Roskilde this summer!
