It’s one of the great pop music icons of our time who will take the Orange Stage when SZA performs her first ever Danish concert. The American singer manages to combine gigantic popularity, artistic quality and a rare personal integrity with songs that make audiences as well as critics drop their jaw.

A staggering nine Grammy nominations were received for her masterpiece SOS, which also entered Billboard 200 as number one when it was released in 2022. The album, which features collaborations with the likes of Phoebe Bridgers and Travis Scott and boasts an eclectic arsenal of huge songs, also garnered superlative reviews for its songwriting, production, and personal and poetic lyrical universe.

Although she is often referred to as an R&B artist, she herself has been skeptical of that label. Indeed, her music transcends narrow genre labels with elements of R&B, pop, soul, hip hop and more. SZA herself has called her music “glitter trap”.

SZA made a strong impact on the music scene in 2017 with her debut album Ctrl. But with SOS, she has managed to elevate herself into pop music's heaviest league. SZA has since transformed the album's expansive sound into critically acclaimed live shows that embody vulnerability, intimacy, power and epic pop celebration. In 2024, she has announced the new album Lana, so the timing for her first visit to Denmark couldn't be better!
