MONDAY 29 JUNE

Panel discussion with four DFC master’s students from Africa on how to find your voice and use it locally and globally

  • Monday 29 June
    14:00, Re:Act

Power, media, and politics often drown out those who are closest to the changes happening in our societies and around the world—so how do you make yourself heard? And how do you reclaim your voice?

2030beyond invites you to an inspiring conversation about finding your voice and using it to create real impact beyond your immediate surroundings.

Four master’s students from Nigeria and Kenya share their personal stories of activism, research, climate action, food security, youth mobilization, and the fight for justice. They all know what it takes to stand firm when systems attempt to silence young people.

Come and hear Food Regulator Lyadunni Remilekun Akinlabi (Nigeria), economist and storyteller Ronaldo Juma (Kenya), member of the marginalized Orma nomadic community Rago Abdulkadir (Kenya), and Climate Change Officer in Nakuru County, Mumbi Getrude Kinyanjui. Prepare to broaden your horizons as 2030beyond takes the stage at Re:Act.

2030beyond is a “do tank”—not a traditional think tank. The organization works from existing knowledge, which clearly shows that the world is off track in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. 2030beyond operates across borders, sectors, and both political and professional divides to create solutions that are sustainable for the future.

Re:Act is presented by Rapolitics, Roskilde Festival, and the Danish Institute for Human Rights, with support from the Tuborg Foundation.

This event will be held in English.
