When you grab a meal from a food stall or explore the festival site, you're taking part in a festival that meets the Nordic Swan Ecolabel's requirements for events.
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official environmental label of the Nordic countries and one of the world's most demanding environmental certifications.
For those of us behind the festival, it means that our environmental and climate efforts have been assessed against 35 mandatory criteria.
These criteria focus on the areas where large-scale events have the greatest impact on the environment and climate.
That includes energy, biodiversity, food and beverages, waste, and the way we use resources.
For you, it means knowing that a huge amount of work lies behind the festival you're about to enter.
It's our responsibility to create the framework. But you're still an important part of it.
When you sort your waste, choose your meals thoughtfully, take care of the site and support the solutions you encounter around the festival, you help strengthen these efforts.
Receiving the Nordic Swan Ecolabel does not mean we're finished or that we've reached the final destination.
But it gives us a clear framework to keep improving together with partners, suppliers, volunteers and festivalgoers.
