Camping at Roskilde Festival

SCROLL DOWN

The camping area is open from Saturday 27 June to Sunday 5 July.

Camping is a central part of life at Roskilde Festival. It is where days begin, nights end, and everyday festival life unfolds between concerts, parties, and quiet moments.

The camping area is open to all Roskilde Festival participants, including guests with valid one-day or two-day tickets.

Across the campsite, you will find:

  • Food stalls and places to buy drinks
  • Shopping facilities, including camping gear and festival essentials
  • Cloakrooms
  • Toilet facilities
  • Hot showers and free cold showers
  • Quieter areas for rest, breaks, and socialising

Scroll down to check out all the ways you can camp at Roskilde Festival.

Regular Camping

Regular Camping is the most open and informal way to stay at Roskilde Festival. There is no pre-booking. You arrive, find an available spot, and set up your tent.

Please note that space in the Regular Camping areas is limited and allocated on arrival. Once an area is full, you will be directed to the next available campsite, where we may not be able to place your entire camp together.

Special Camping

Special Camping is for you who want to plan their stay in advance or choose a specific type of camping experience. Pick between:

  • Booking a camping spot for yourself or your entire camp
  • Sleeping in areas where music is turned off at night
  • Staying in camping areas with fixed setups and facilities
  • Booking furnished tents and enjoy a glamping-style stay

Sales for Special Camping will open at the end of January.

Community Camping

Community Camping is for you who want to be part of a shared camping community with a collective responsibility for atmosphere, neighbourliness, and the area as a whole.

To stay in Community Camping, you need to apply for a spot. It's free to apply, and you can do that together with your camp or apply to stay with others and meet new people.

Community Camping is divided into different areas, each with its own theme. Applications will open at the end of January.

Volunteer Camping

As a volunteer, you can stay in Volunteer Camping, where you can stay with friends who are also volunteers.

Volunteer Camping is for those who want a quiet place to sleep. Music and noise are therefore not permitted. Here you can enjoy a good night’s sleep, free hot showers, charge your phone, and buy food and drinks.

As a volunteer, you can apply to stay in Volunteer Camping from 1 May.

A cleaner Roskilde

When we live together at Roskilde Festival, we must all help take care of our beautiful festival grounds.

This means leaving every area clean and free of the items you brought with you. It also means minimizing our impact on the planet, even while we’re enjoying the festival.

You make a huge difference when you reduce your consumption, sort your waste, and reuse as much as possible.

  • Reduce means bringing as little as possible from home
  • Sort means helping to keep the festival clean by sorting your waste at our waste stations
  • Reuse means taking your belongings home and using them again
