TUESDAY 30 JUNE

Coming Home with Culture Journalist Lucia Odoom

  • Tuesday 30 June
    11:00, Re:Act

Lucia Odoom is an author, critic, and culture journalist with a sharp eye for the movements shaping our contemporary moment. She works in the space where the personal meets the political, and her writing circles themes of love, migration, technology, and relationships in a globalized world. In her universe, home is not just a place but something we negotiate, lose, long for, and reinvent.

She debuted with the long poem Sange fra andre rum (Songs from Other Rooms) in 2022 and followed it with the novel Cosmos in 2024. As a culture journalist and former radio host at DR, and now a regular contributor to Politiken, she writes and speaks about literature, film, TV series, and music with a particular focus on gender, intimacy, and contemporary art.

At Re:Act, Lucia Odoom unfolds her perspectives through a reading and a conversation about the right to a home—physical, emotional, and cultural. It becomes a conversation about belonging, identity, and the spaces we reclaim when the world around us shifts.

Re:Act is presented by Rapolitics, Roskilde Festival, and the Danish Institute for Human Rights, with support from the Tuborg Foundation.
