Negash Ali is a rare figure in Danish culture—a visionary artist and cultural entrepreneur who effortlessly bridges music, art, and activism. He has made his mark internationally as an artist and songwriter in London and the United States, and in Denmark as the curator behind Scandinavia’s first hip-hop installation at ARoS Aarhus Art Museum. As co‑founder of the anti‑racist organization Tal Ud, he carries a deep social commitment into everything he does.
With the single "Days Are Counted", Negash Ali enters a new phase with an atmospheric and mature sound shaped by his global experiences and his sharp awareness of the structures that shape our lives. At Roskilde Festival 2026, the experience becomes both concert and conversation. The music is interwoven with a live dialogue in which Negash Ali opens up his creative process and invites the audience behind the scenes: how art, identity, and activism intersect, and what it means to claim one’s place and one’s home in a world where belonging is never guaranteed.
The result is a total experience where performance and conversation mirror each other—a space where Negash Ali shares both his sound and his reflections on the day’s theme: Re:Claim Your Home.
