Multiple appearances

A UFO filled with aliens arrives at this year’s festival.

  • Sunday 28 June
    12:00, The Yard
  • Monday 29 June
    Giant board game, 12:30, Dancefloor

Participate in a conversation that challenges your ideas about exclusion and belonging. As the UFO moves around the campsite, you’re invited to listen, ask questions, and engage in dialogue with the aliens on board.

They share their experiences of belonging in Denmark, without being fully legally recognized. A reality faced by up to 80,000 young people with alien’s passports born and raised in Denmark without Danish citizenship.

In the encounter with the aliens, you are invited to conversations about identity, community, and the boundaries of belonging when you have an alien’s passport or a convention passport. You decide how much you want to participate, but your curiosity and presence are part of the experience.

Later, you can participate in the board game The Road to the Danish Passport, where, using your body and voice, you move through the rules, requirements, and obstacles involved in obtaining Danish citizenship. Here, you are not a spectator but one of the game pieces. You listen, respond, move forward – or backward – and experience how structures shape people’s opportunities.

Join in as conversation, play, and collective reflection creates a space to explore what it truly means to belong – and who gets to be included.

Youth for Citizenship is a youth-led organisation founded in 2024 through ActionAid Denmark’s platform “In Denmark, I Belong.” The organisation works to give young people without citizenship a voice, strengthen community, and nuance the debate on belonging and democratic rights. It consists of a young group of activists with experience of – or currently navigating – the citizenship process.
