With fast breakbeats, synthesizer arpeggios and unconventional sampling techniques, the Danish/Dutch duo Miaw creates a sound that lies somewhere between a remix and a pop song. And with their original productions and intense concerts, they have already made waves both at home and internationally.
They have already performed at several international festivals, including by:Larm and Eurosonic, and their music has been featured by platforms such as Nina Protocol and The Needle Drop. The duo creates a unique sonic universe with an infectious blend of UK bass, deconstructed club music, trip hop and shoegaze.
They themselves have called their music "fast dreamwave". A good description of the songs' unpredictable mix of glitchy vocals, frantic breakbeats and dreamy shoegaze sounds.
In 2024, Miaw released their impressive debut EP, My Petswan, on the Copenhagen underground label Petrola 80. Before their concert at this year's Roskilde Festival, a longer release is expected in spring. At the beginning of 2026, we already got the terrific single "Moving In", which bodes well for both the release and the summer show.
