On Denmark's vibrant alternative music scene, the duo Snuggle has quickly made a name for themselves as one of the most interesting new acts. In just a few years, they have grown from the underground to playing sold-out concerts, and Snuggle has also made a name for itself internationally with their melodic, dreamy, and edgy sound.
Their debut album Goodbyehouse, released on Escho in 2025, has garnered praise from media outlets such as Pitchfork and Clash Magazine. The latter praised the duo's ability to combine an experimental post-punk sound with poignant melodies that open up a sensitive universe.
Snuggle consists of Andrea Thuesen and Vilhelm Strange, who have made a significant mark on Danish music with Baby In Vain and Liss, respectively. With Snuggle, they unite in a love of guitar-driven alternative music with elements of punk's DIY aesthetic, dreamy shoegazer sound, and frayed alternative rock, unfolding in both cinematic and melancholic songs.
Snuggle already visited Roskilde Festival in 2024 with a concert that earned top marks from Danish music site Bands of Tomorrow. Expectations are high when they return this summer with songs from their excellent debut album.
