Spoiler alert: Festival life takes its toll on your body, your mind and your muscles.

That's exactly why some of Denmark's leading sports scientists from the University of Copenhagen are here. They're behind Keep Your Gains, a workout session at Stadion that turns expert knowledge about training, recovery and effective exercise into a festival experience designed to bring your festival body back to life.

Watch the video to find out why – and how – strength and cardio can give you more energy for the rest of your festival.

PLAY

Want to give it a go yourself? Join Keep Your Gains at Stadion in Camping West on Monday or Tuesday at 12:00.

Keep Your Gains is part of the University of Copenhagen's programme at Roskilde Festival, where research comes to life through everything from workouts and sport to meditation, group dancing and hands-on body experiments.

The whole festival at your fingertips

Every day during Roskilde Festival, you can dive into fresh interviews, guides, recommendations and stories on roskilde-festival.dk and in the app.

Discover your next favourite concert, meet the artists behind the music and get closer to everything happening on, behind and beyond the stages.

Recharge Even More

The Univesity of Copenhagen is ready for you – where ever you are. On Tuesday at 11:00, you can slow things down with Walk Your Brain at Rehearsals of Belonging, where a neuroscientist and a meditation instructor guide you on a calming journey through your brain – from the amygdala to the cerebellum.

At the very same time, you can also lace up your trainers for The Ultimate Group Dance at Dancefloor. Guided by a choreographer and inspired by research into the connection between body and brain, it's not about getting every step right – it's about moving, laughing and sharing the energy with everyone around you.
