We’re flipping the concert upside down

11.09.2025Year-round

At Headline Flip, emerging artists top the bill – while well-known, secret acts open the night. The first edition takes place on 15 November at Lille Vega in Copenhagen with Augusta Schackinger and Carlina de Place.

Normally, it’s the new names who warm up before the established artists take the stage. But this time, we’re turning the order upside down.

With the new concert format Headline Flip, we put the spotlight firmly on the future: rising voices claim the headline slot, while an established act opens the show and lends their support to what’s coming next.

The premiere happens on 15 November at Lille Vega in Copenhagen, where you can experience two of Denmark’s brightest young artists right now: 19-year-old Augusta Schackinger and 21-year-old Carlina de Place.

The night begins with a well-known – and secret – act, revealed only when the music starts. In the weeks leading up to the concert, we’ll be dropping hints on our social channels so you can join the guessing game.

A push for new movements

Headline Flip is part of Rising, our year-round initiative to support artists, ideas and communities that challenge conventions and open up new paths in art and music.

That includes the First Days programme, where new names open Roskilde Festival and meet a large, curious audience, and the Emerging Artist Area, where young musicians can develop their practice and connect with both the industry and each other. We also collaborate with The Royal Danish Academy and other educational institutions, where architecture and art unfold in new ways. And we release concert recordings and documentation of art and activism, so performances live on beyond the festival.

At its core, Rising is about giving momentum to movements that are only just beginning to take shape – and Headline Flip is one of the formats where you can see it happen right in front of you.

Augusta Schackinger

At just 19, Augusta Schackinger writes songs that paint vivid pictures. With her blend of dreamlike pop and lyrical melancholy, she creates music that resonates across generations, speaking both to the heart and the imagination.

She broke through with 'Stjerneklare Nætter', featured in Jonas Risvig’s TV series Grænser and streamed more than a million times. Most recently, she has released music through Sony Music and collaborated with Olivver on the hit 'Ødelagt Byen', which went straight to number one as Denmark’s most-streamed song.

Carlina de Place

With only a handful of releases, Carlina de Place has already made a strong mark. Tracks like 'Pieces' and 'Reminded' earned her massive attention, and her SPOT Festival show brought standing ovations and five-star reviews from both GAFFA and Soundvenue.

Her sound blends organic singer-songwriter traditions with modern R&B. Together with Grammy-winning producer Morten ‘Rissi’ Ristorp (Lukas Graham, Beyoncé), she is reaching new heights – and she does it all on her own terms as an independent artist.
