At Roskilde Festival, energy isn't just what you find on stage – it's also the power behind the scenes and the positive energy that sparks between people. That’s why we’ve partnered with energy company Andel.
Our partnership with Andel is all about reducing Roskilde Festival’s climate footprint and engaging participants in the crucial shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
Because we share the same ambition: to build the future with care and show how energy, community and action go hand in hand.
When we come together, a special kind of energy emerges. An energy that can shift habits, ideas and solutions for the future. That’s the energy we tap into through our energy partnership.
Read on to see how our collaboration with Andel is making a difference – and how you, as a participant, are an important part of the community.

Enjoy a meal cooked with a lower CO₂ footprint.
In 2025, we’re reaching an important milestone: we’re saying goodbye to gas cylinders in our food stalls. It’s the result of three years of close collaboration with Andel, where we’ve upgraded equipment and tested new solutions together with food stall owners.
Just a few years ago, we said farewell to diesel generators. Now we’re also phasing out gas-powered cooking. Gas cylinders used to be a staple in the more than 100 food stalls across the festival city. Not anymore. Instead, stalls now run on electricity from the Danish grid – where around 75% of the power comes from renewable sources.
Together, the phase-out of diesel generators and gas cylinders means we’re emitting 250 fewer tonnes of CO₂ every year.
So when you grab a bite at Roskilde this year, you can do so knowing that every single meal is cooked without gas – and with an ambition to lower our climate footprint as much as possible.
Take a break and recharge your batteries with Andel at this year’s Roskilde Festival. In the area “Recharge! – with Andel”, you’ll find a relaxing oasis between Orange Stage and Arena.
This is your space to recharge – physically, mentally and digitally:
Relax in hammocks and charging lounges, book a private booth with your friends and enjoy some board games. You can even get your heart rate up by generating power yourself on one of Andel’s energy bikes.
You can also test your green knowledge in a quiz and win full festival tickets for next year.
The Andel area is, quite simply, an invitation to recharge with good energy – and share it with others.
