In a time when war and conflict are increasingly present, we need a response – a clear and powerful counter-voice united as one.
At this year’s Roskilde Festival, ActionAid Denmark invites you to sing songs of peace together with Luna Ersahin, Annisette and other powerful voices from around the world. Rooted in the Danish tradition of communal singing, we come together for a shared musical experience featuring traditional songs introduced and led by artists who have lived through alienation and oppression – and who know the hope and strength of singing together as a form of soft resistance.
Together with Roskilde Festival, ActionAid Denmark amplifies a message of peace and invites you to join a choir for peace. With your voice, you can help send a clear signal that we are many who believe in a just, solidaristic, and peaceful future.
During first days at Dancefloor, everyone is welcome to join choir practice with Luna Ersahin, Danish-Kurdish musician and lead singer of AySay. Join the vocal sessions to warm up for the large scale choir concert for peace at Fauna in Final Days.
For the closing choir concert at Fauna, host Moussa Mchangama will lead us through a packed sing-along program featuring Luna Ersahin, Annisette, lead singer of Savage Rose, who will together with young voices calling for reconciliation by the Palestinian/Jewish Alliance invite you to join the call for peace.
You can pick up the singalong zine – a limited-edition artwork by Jasmin Aiche Mahallati – at the choir sessions during First Days.
ActionAid Denmark is a movement working for a more just and sustainable world – free from discrimination, climate crisis, and poverty – both in Denmark and in more than 45 countries worldwide.
