With his debut album Come Around And Love Me from 2023, Jalen Ngonda instantly became a new soul sensation, and the album garnered rave reviews in several places – including The Guardian, which described it as “half an hour of untrammelled joy” and compared Ngonda’s expression to Marvin Gaye himself. Several big stars such as Olivia Dean, Jill Scott and Elton John have also declared themselves fans.  

Since his debut album, Jalen Ngonda has built up a strong fan base, not least thanks to his deeply engaging concerts. In 2025, Rolling Stone magazine proclaimed him a "leading soul revivalist of this decade." 2026 also looks set to be a fantastic year for Jalen Ngonda, who will release the long-awaited follow-up to his debut album this summer. Doctrine Of Love is the title of the album, which will be released a few weeks before his performance at Roskilde Festival, and there will undoubtedly be love in the air.
