It's a wild trip to step into Jane Remover's sound universe. The American artist has a knack for creating personal and idiosyncratic songs, where you almost get seasick from the wild genre fusions. Sounds and genres are pushed to the very edge of what they can do, but if you approach the sonic expressionism with an open mind, you will be rewarded with captivating pop dramas.
Jane Remover's ability to create alternative pop universes was already evident when, as a teenager, they began uploading home-produced songs to Soundcloud under the name Dltzk. They later changed their stage name to Jane Remover and impressed with their first two albums’ original mix of glitchy pop music and dreamy shoegaze sound.
However, nothing could have prepared the audience for the visionary third album Revengeseekerz, released in 2025. A transformative album, it still contained elements of shoegaze, but these elements clashed unrestrainedly in the album's overheated productions with everything from Skrillex-inspired dubstep and EDM to noisy hyperpop and hip-hop.
“An inferno of raw thoughts that pushes everything—rap, pop, voice, their artistic persona—to the breaking point,” wrote Pitchfork in a rave review of the album, which also appeared on numerous year-end lists of the best releases. With Revengeseekerz, Jane Remover has established themselves as a major musical innovator, and now they are ready to take Roskilde Festival by storm with their wild creations.
