When Ken Carson takes over Arena at Roskilde Festival, it will be less than 24 hours before the release of his new album xperiment. That gives festivalgoers a rare chance to experience one of hip hop’s most talked-about new voices on the verge of his next major chapter – and potentially be among the first anywhere to hear new material live.

Ken Carson has quickly established himself as a central figure in the explosive rage rap wave surrounding Playboi Carti’s Opium collective. With futuristic production, overdriven synths and chaotic energy, he has helped push modern trap into new territory while building a devoted global following.

His breakthrough came with A Great Chaos in 2023, an album that fully crystallised his sound into a head-spinning blend of distorted synths, booming trap beats and raw vocal intensity. Since then, Carson has only continued to raise the stakes, and now follows it up with xperiment, released the day after his Roskilde Festival appearance.
