With powerful compositions, a wealth of ideas and quirky experiments, London band Sorry has brought new energy to alternative rock. And with their latest album, Cosplay, released in 2025 on Domino Records, they sound better than ever.
The band's original approach to the rock format was evident on their debut album 925, which was released in 2020 to fantastic reviews. Among others, The Line of Best Fit called the album a near-perfect debut. Since then, they have repeatedly managed to thrill critics with a sound that may be rooted in guitar-driven rock, but which at the same time defies clear definition. The band mixes a wealth of musical forms in songs that are sometimes rattling with frayed and noisy post-punk nerves, and sometimes indulge in trip hop atmospheres and strong pop hooks.
However, the contrasting expressions are tied together by a strong sense of songwriting, which also shines through clearly on Cosplay, showcasing a band that is both experimental and captivating. Or, as NME wrote in an enthusiastic review: "Sorry's mystique has never been greater, and they've never been more intriguing".
We already had the pleasure of experiencing Sorry's unique sound at Roskilde Festival in 2023. And we are very much looking forward to experiencing their powerful new material on Danish soil when they return to the festival this summer.
