The Savage Rose DK

FRIDAY 3 JULY

A unique live experience filled with rock history, iconic songs and passionate protest

  • Friday 3 July

The Savage Rose stands out in the landscape as a beacon of humanism, commitment and passionate musical presence. For almost 60 years, this legendary band has enriched the music scene with its unique vision, and with one of Denmark's most iconic and moving singers, Annisette, at the helm, The Savage Rose always guarantees a magnificent concert experience.

They have also demonstrated this at the Roskilde Festival on numerous occasions, most recently in 2017, where, according to Danish newspaper Politiken's music editor, the band "brought down the Orange Stage" with a concert that brought people together across generations. The magical live experience is not only due to Annisette's outstanding vocals and magnetic charisma, but also to an exceptional band consisting of some of the country's best musicians.

The Savage Rose was formed in 1967 and released their debut album the following year, which not only made them rock icons at home, but also attracted international attention. With inspiration from psychedelic rock, folk, blues and soul, The Savage Rose has created a style all their own. At the same time, music has always been more than just entertainment for them. It has been a mission and a beacon of human warmth in an often dark world.

The band has always stood in solidarity with humanity and love and in opposition to war, oppression and imperialism, and the humanism and resilience of their music remains intact in 2026, with The Savage Rose still celebrating political activism and daring to dream of a better and more just world. Expect musical goosebumps when The Savage Rose once again unfurl their catalogue of iconic songs at Roskilde Festival.
