Tobias Rahim quite literally towers over the Danish pop landscape – a “Big Man”, to borrow the title of one of his many hits. His ambitions reach just as high as his artistic range is wide. A true cosmopolitan, Rahim can create unforgettable moments of connection through massive sing-along choruses and bare his soul in fragile ballads. He insists that pop music can – and should – contain the full range of human emotion.
He has already conquered Roskilde Festival with several remarkable performances. In 2022, his concert at Arena drew an overwhelming crowd, and the following year he took on the iconic Orange Stage with a show that led Danish magazine Soundvenue to conclude: “In the end, even Roskilde Festival’s biggest stage felt too small for Tobias Rahim.”
Few Danish artists can boast as many hits as Rahim, who – in addition to “Stor mand” – has dominated the charts with songs like “Bellevue,” “Dark Room,” “Flyvende Faduma,” and “Mucki Bar.” His 2022 album Når sjælen kaster op (When the Soul Throws Up) already stands as a modern classic – an ambitious work that merges his Kurdish roots, social critique, and flamboyant pop into a single, visionary statement.
With his new album VULKANØ, Rahim expands his universe even further across 22 tracks that confirm his place as one of the most vital voices in contemporary Danish pop. When he returns to Roskilde Festival in 2026, it will be for a special late-night show on the Orange Stage, where his voice, intensity, and boundless energy will unfold in a whole new light beneath the night sky.
