A recurring theme of duality runs through Alice Ai's music, which is at once pop and punk, melodic and distorted, human and artificial. Like Alice from Alice in Wonderland, she invites the audience into an alternative universe where the usual rules and conventions fall short and where pop music is transformed into radically new forms.
Here, delicate melodies slide into distorted screams, while soft synth pads are replaced by subsonic rumble kicks and shattered drum 'n' bass rhythms. This musical duality is also reflected in an existential ambivalence on her EP d.a.t.a.d.e.a.t.h. from 2025, where themes of body, sex, relationships and self-image are explored in a universe that encompasses both hopelessness and courage, fear and strength.
Alice Ai has become notorious through a series of wild pop-up shows that she herself has organised in the Copenhagen underground scene. Here, she and her band have united pop lovers, ravers and punks in a creative free space where the boundaries between high-intensity punk energy, sweaty club atmosphere and hyper-pop productions have melted away.
It is a space that invites you to let yourself go, embracing both ecstasy and vulnerability. Now Alice Ai is ready to bring her punk pop rave to Roskilde Festival. Before the concert, she is releasing a new EP, setting the stage for a rare burst of energy as the new songs liberate both body and mind under the summer sky
