Naming your debut album Latincore Legend is a pretty bold and remarkable statement. But Colombian producer and DJ CRRDR has something to back it up.
Prior to his wild and ambitious debut album, released in 2025, he made his mark with a diverse stream of releases and sent dance floors around the world into ecstasy. He has also been a powerful force in the creation of a new club culture in Latin America in the post-pandemic era. A movement that first spread across various corners of the internet and is now taking dance floors by storm under the banner of latincore. A genre term that CRRDR himself has coined, which is why he can rightly call himself a legend in the genre.
With his inventive productions, CRRDR manages to strike a chord between tradition and futurism. And with both surreal humour and solid inspiration from hard techno and gabber, he pumps new energy into familiar forms and creates new hybrids between Latin American genres such as baile funk, reggaeton and guaracha.
CRRDR himself has stated that, for him, latincore is a genre that fuses Latin American dance music with high BPM electronic club music. But it is also a music closely linked to a non-commercial DIY culture, where the liberating energy of the party reigns supreme, together with the inclusion of queer communities. Get your pulse racing and set your body free when the pioneer gives a masterclass in authentic latincore at Roskilde Festival this summer.
