A colossal dance party is guaranteed when Kettama ploughs through Roskilde Festival with his self-proclaimed sledgehammer house. A style that brings the audience into a euphoric trance with a soundscape of heavy bass, pulsating grooves and high-energy beats.
The Irish DJ and producer began performing at clubs in his hometown of Galway as a teenager. These formative years not only gave him an exquisite sense of how to get a dance floor going, but also helped him develop his own style, which draws on a wide range of genres such as house, trance, techno and UK garage.
His ability to craft epic rave anthems that embody both historical awareness and an insistent sense of the vibrant present has made him a sought-after performer whose music is equally at home at late-night club parties and major festival stages. It makes sense that the legends of Underworld invited him to collaborate, as his music contains some of the same genre-bending energy.
After a string of singles and EPs, Kettama released his debut album Archangel in 2025. A rave fueled masterpiece, it demonstrates that he is not only a phenomenal producer, but also a truly visionary artist. The album, which features collaborations with artists such as Fred Again.., Prospa and Interplanetary Criminal, has received excellent reviews. Among others, Clash Magazine aptly wrote: “KETTAMA has arrived at a creative apex, with Archangel being a pivotal milestone, confirming him as a key player in the future of electronic music.” The stage is set for a magnificent rave experience when Kettama takes to the stage at Roskilde Festival this summer.
