That's Showbiz Baby! is the apt title of Jade's solo debut album from 2025, which has quickly made her one of the most important names on the British pop scene. The album is packed with epic hooks and glittering arrangements driven by a pounding electronic pulse, with nods to disco, R&B and Europop.
At the same time, Jade’s music fuels a surge of activism and strong opinions. The lead single “Angel of My Dreams” delivered a sharp critique of the very showbiz world the album revolves around. Jade knows the industry’s toxic sides first-hand, from tabloid culture to distorted body ideals, having entered the public eye as a teenager on The X Factor before rising to global fame as part of Little Mix.
Fortunately for all of us, Jade is far from done with pop music. Today, she uses her platform to speak out against racism, homophobia and transphobia, and to claim space on her own terms. For That’s Showbiz Baby!, she was awarded the Brit Award for Best Pop Act last year, recognising her work in creating pop music that feels genuinely liberating.
“Liberating” is also a word often used to describe Jade’s visually spectacular live shows, which are packed with grand pop moments and direct callouts to her LGBTQ+ fanbase. All signs point to a full-scale pop celebration when Jade takes the stage at Roskilde Festival this summer.
