With her fifth album, West End Girl, Lily Allen has not only made a spectacular comeback. She has also released one of 2025's most talked-about records, which has been hailed as a pop music milestone by several critics. When the British singer takes to the stage at Roskilde Festival this summer, she will perform the album in its entirety—from start to finish—drawing the audience into the album's raw and emotional dissection of a marriage's collapse.

"A brutal, tell-all masterpiece," wrote The Independent about West End Girl in a superlative review, in which they also called the album her best in 16 years. The album has already made its way onto several prominent lists of the best releases of the year.

Lily Allen broke through as a viral phenomenon in the MySpace era in 2005 and, with her debut album Alright, Still from 2006, established herself as a refreshing voice in the pop landscape. An artist who managed to deliver fantastic pop hooks, quirky productions and reggae-inspired rhythms with sharp lyrical edge, humour and a no bullshit attitude.

The ability to deliver catchy pop that lyrically addresses the harsh realities of life is very much intact on West End Girl. But on the album, Allen also truly comes into her own as a vulnerable yet razor-sharp storyteller on an accomplished work, to which her entire concert at Roskilde Festival will be dedicated. She last played Roskilde Festival in 2009, and in 2026 she returns as an artist who continues to resonate across generations. It will also be one of Allen's few selected European festival concerts – and a welcome reunion with an artist who has not visited Denmark for many years.
