For several years, many have referred to Wicky as something of a cult figure in the Danish rap underground. But after his powerful performance at last year's Roskilde Festival, where he appeared as part of the First Days programme, there is good reason to refer to him as a rapper in the big league, but also one with his own unique voice.
Danish magazine Soundvenue called last year's Roskilde Festival concert "utterly superior," and Wicky has since cemented his status with his debut album Jeez, which was released in late 2025 to critical acclaim.
With heavy trap beats, sci-fi-sounding synths and melodic autotune vocals, Wicky envelops his Danish-language rap in a versatile sound universe that has room for both introspective melancholy and confident bangers. It is raw, personal, wide-ranging and musically incredibly accomplished.
If you saw his concert at Roskilde Festival in 2025, you will also know that he is capable of delivering a superb show on stage, with carefully considered staging and dynamics, leaving no doubt that Wicky has long since outgrown the underground scene and is ready for the big stage. Therefore we are delighted to welcome him back to this summer's festival.
