WORKSHOP: Fra festival til klimahandling, 16:15, Flokkr Container #1

How do we create change that truly matters? Join us for a powerful afternoon at Flokkr, where art, politics, and activism come together in the fight for the climate.

We begin with an evocative performance by renowned Greenlandic artist and writer Jessie Kleemann, who uses body, poetry, and presence to address the climate crisis in a deeply new and moving way.

Following the performance, we invite you to a panel discussion featuring Jessie Kleemann, UN Youth Delegate Sigurd Krabbe, and climate activists. Together, they will share experiences and discuss how art can create new emotions and understandings, how the political system can still be a platform for real climate action, and how activism can evolve in 2025.

Sigurd Krabbe will bring the insights from the discussion with him to COP30 in Brazil, where he will represent the youth’s voice at the UN’s climate negotiations.

After the debate, you can dive deeper into storytelling yourself when Jessie Kleemann hosts a workshop on performative writing, introducing techniques for expressing climate narratives through text, body, and voice.

Jessie Kleemann is one of Greenland's most distinctive and experimental writers. Internationally, she is particularly known as a performance artist, where she often uses poetry and her body to explore the themes of her poems through rhythm and words. In 2022, she was nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize and has represented Greenland at many international poetry festivals. Her poems have also inspired several filmmakers.

Sigurd Krabbe, UN Youth Delegate for Denmark, has a background in the Danish Youth Climate Council and KFUM Scouts, and participates in key international negotiations, including COP.

Elise Sydendal is a climate activist in the Green Youth Movement. She is a Master’s student in Political Science and will attend COP for the fourth time when COP30 is held this autumn.
