Dive into an audiovisual universe unfold as acclaimed Danish composer and musician Astrid Sonne invites you to an extended concert experience created especially for Roskilde Festival.

The London-based composer has long emerged as one of the most important artists on the Danish experimental music scene. With a background as a classical viola player, Sonne's artistic work connects different sound worlds - from classical compositional music and minimalism to electronic experimentation and graceful pop.

Her ability to create open compositions that unfold between the organic and the electronic has brought her to a multitude of international festivals, and her releases have received excellent reviews in international music media. Her latest release, Great Doubt, prompted The Guardian to compare her to the likes of Julia Holter and Mica Levi in a rave review. On Great Doubt Sonne moves in a more songwriting-orientated direction with elements of alternative pop and thoughtful R&B without sacrificing her unique sense of sound and ambiguity.

Especially for Roskilde Festival, Sonne will present the music with an expanded visual side created with collaborators from both London and Copenhagen. Here, Sonne's contrasting expression will take on even more dimensions through light, video and choreographic elements. A very special experience awaits!
