Participants at Roskilde Festival must sort their waste in the camping areas.
Three categories
The waste should be sorted into the following three categories (fractions):
- Metal
- Plastic and food and beverage cartons
- Residual waste
A bag for each category
The garbage bags are printed with a colored pictogram and a short text that guides which waste should be in the respective bag.
Camping hosts will distribute bags to the camps in the camping areas. Participants can get more garbage bags at the sorting stations and at infohubs.
Handing in of bags
Filled garbage bags are closed and handed in to the nearest recycling station.
Handing in of larger and hazardous waste
At the sorting stations in all camping areas, participants can, in addition to the three fractions, also dispose paper and hazardous waste such as electronics and batteries, glass, as well as larger items such as broken tents and chairs.
