Do you think in creative solutions and want to contribute initiatives that make a real difference in everyday life within a Community Camping area? Then Leave No Trace could be the right place for you.
Leave No Trace is a smaller camping area where camps actively contribute to the community and help create fun, creative, and ambitious initiatives throughout the week – making it a distinctive place to live during the festival. The area is located in East and has existed since 2018.
Over the years, camps have contributed in many different ways. Camp Skov, for example, hosts karaoke fundraisers. Camp Kijafa awards a spot in Leave No Trace for the following year to the tidiest camp of the week. Camp NO-BUTTS has handed out pocket ashtrays to neighbouring camps, and Camp Sun-City has set up a shared solar-powered charging station in the area.
There is room for many kinds of initiatives, as long as they are shared with your neighbours and contribute to the sense of community within the area.
Application
To get a reserved spot in Leave No Trace, you and your camp must complete the application form. As part of the application, you’ll be guided to describe the idea or initiative you want to carry out in the area.
The specific requirements for being allocated a spot can be found in this year’s application form.

When we live together at Roskilde Festival, we must all help take care of our beautiful festival grounds.
This means leaving every area clean and free of the items you brought with you. It also means minimizing our impact on the planet, even while we’re enjoying the festival.
You make a huge difference when you reduce your consumption, sort your waste, and reuse as much as possible.
- Reduce means bringing as little as possible from home
- Sort means helping to keep the festival clean by sorting your waste at our waste stations
- Reuse means taking your belongings home and using them again
