How we create secure concert experiences

SCROLL DOWN

When we’re standing close together, we need to take care of each other. Here you can read about how we create safe spaces in front of the stages – and how you can help contribute.

When the music plays and energy pulses through the audience, Roskilde Festival becomes one of the most intense and euphoric places to be.

Behind the big (and small) concerts and those electric moments is a comprehensive safety effort that ensures everyone can enjoy the music without worry.

Read on to learn how we create concert experiences where community and safety go hand in hand.

Crowd safety hosts – your support at the stages

In front of all festival stages, you’ll find our crowd safety hosts – easy to spot in orange vests. They’re trained to read the crowd and step in if anyone needs help.

They can guide people to more space, hand out water, or assist if someone feels unwell. Their most important task is to make sure concerts are a safe experience for everyone.

Know the level before you join the crowd

Some concerts are more intense than others. We mark selected shows with a High Energy icon so you know in advance that the experience might be especially dynamic. That can mean more movement, moshing, and high intensity.

If you love that kind of concert, be ready for what’s coming – and respect those around you. If you’re unsure, you can always find an area with a little more room.

Choose the Best Spot

The best concert experience is not about standing at the very front, but about finding the right place for you. Think about whether you want to be close to the stage with high energy, or whether you prefer more space and a better overview. There are great spots all around the stages.

No matter where you stand, expect close contact at the biggest concerts. If it gets too intense, move further back or out to the sides.

Look out for the people around you and follow instructions from the hosts, so we can keep the atmosphere safe together.
