We serve consistently great comfort food!

Volunteering with us is about giving the best you've got to help us serve great food for the guests at Roskilde Festival.

You will be volunteering in a busy but fun restaurant setting. You will never be alone, but you will always be in close contact with co-volunteers and our professional staff.

Our food stalls are big and spacious. You will have a great sense of the festival athmosphere when on duty.

Volunteering in a food stall is all about handling food or being in contact with our guests.

All volunteers will take part in regular cleaning duties. There's no great cooking without great cleaning.

All volunteers will say 'yes' to one night shift too. But never alone.

We work in an ALCOHOL FREE environment.

As a volunteer with Feast you will gain access to picking your own shifts. This means that you will be able to coordinate with your friends when you will be volunteering.

Do expect to be on your feet for hours when you're volunteering in a food stall at Roskilde Festival. We provide breaks and food during your shifts, but volunteering is not vacation time. We expect that you bring good energy and that you're ready to give it your best.

We take pride into making our food from scratch. We take pride into being nice.

ABOUT THE TASK

At the bars around Orange and Arena, we’ll be serving lots of draft beer and cocktails! That’s why no experience is necessary—our main requirement is that everyone is cheerful and service-minded.

There’s always a great vibe in the bar, and if customer interaction isn’t your thing, there are also behind-the-scenes roles where you help prepare drinks for the bartenders ahead of the concerts.

You can choose to work either 24 or 32 hours, and you and your friends can select the same shift packages so you can work together throughout the entire festival.

We’re also flexible when it comes to whether you prefer customer interaction or would rather help out behind the scenes. Our bars are located in front of the stages, so a certain level of noise is to be expected.

ABOUT YOU

The most important thing is that you are cheerful and service-minded, and we’ll teach you the rest.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our team offers following accessibility:

  • There is access to our area for wheelchair users or others with reduced mobility.
  • We offer tasks that are not physically demanding.
  • We offer tasks that can be performed with reduced hearing.
  • We offer tasks that do not require speaking.
  • We offer tasks that do not require reading or writing.
  • We offer the opportunity for you to be called if you have any questions about the volunteer role before the festival. Send your phone number to us in an email.
  • We offer tasks with limited contact with festival participants.
  • We provide thorough and patient guidance until you feel comfortable with the task.
  • We offer the possibility of flexible shift lengths by agreement.

ABOUT US

We have many years of experience at the festival. We have great areas to relax in and a strong sense of community—both in our volunteer bar in the back area.

ABOUT THE TASK

We are looking for a lot of great, kind, and energetic volunteers to help us pack, distribute, and receive all our camping gear that guests can rent.

We have tasks both before and during the festival.

Before:
Packing all our equipment into containers. This takes place on weekends leading up to the festival.

During:
From our 5 Hubs + 3 Popups, we will be distributing the equipment that guests have pre-ordered via the app.
As the festival nears its end, we will need to receive all the equipment back.

You can apply with your friends, so when you apply, be sure to mention who you want to be on the team with.

ABOUT YOU

To volunteer with us, we expect that you:

  • Can take four shifts of 8 hours each.

  • Are flexible with your tasks when you have a shift.

  • Are punctual, engaged, and sober (during your shifts).

  • Are in good physical condition, as there will be a lot of materials to move (only if you have shifts BEFORE the festival).

ABOUT US

We are a volunteer association, Amager Håndbold, which is part of the Rent Your Gear team. Together with them and other volunteers in the association, we ensure that guests can rent camping equipment such as tents, chairs, air mattresses, and pavilions for their campsites.

We will have a shared, cool backstage area where we meet before and after shifts.

You will meet many other volunteers – both new and experienced – and there will be plenty of room for laughter, relaxation, and good conversations.

Rent Your Gear is a new team at the festival, which was previously under Volt, so you can help make your mark and become part of a group that will hopefully be a permanent part of the Roskilde Festival for many years to come.

The effort is an important part of Roskilde Festival’s sustainability work, as the concept reduces abandoned tents and promotes recycling.

WANT TO JOIN US?

You are very welcome to contact us if you have any questions.

You will receive more information about the shifts once we have heard from you. REMEMBER to mention if there are several people signing up at the same time.

Write to Pouljesperhansen@gmail.com, and we will respond to you as soon as possible.

ABOUT THE TASK

Right now, Hvalsø FDF is looking for volunteers to help check wristbands at the Main Gate, which is a public entrance connecting the camping area with the festival grounds. As a volunteer with us, you’ll do a 24-hour volunteer shift total, spread across three 8-hour shifts between July 2 and July 6, 2025. We have different types of tasks available, so whether you have leadership experience, want to take on responsibility for running the gate, or are just looking for a more general role, you're welcome on our team. No previous experience is required – we’ll host an info meeting before the festival starts where we’ll give you a short tour and explain the task in detail. ABOUT THE TASK

Do you want to combine physical work with lots of social interaction and help give festival-goers the best possible experience? Then join Team Q – the most social volunteer role at the festival!

We’re looking for volunteers for the cozy Q camping area, located behind the Orange Stage. As a volunteer on the team, you’ll work 3 shifts of 8 hours each between July 1st and July 6th. There are three shift types (07:00–15:00, 15:00–23:00, and 23:00–07:00), and you should expect to try all three during the festival.

During your shifts, you'll work closely with other volunteers and take on a variety of tasks. These include manning gates and checking wristbands, answering guest questions, creating a positive atmosphere in the area, maintaining restrooms and showers, facilitating waste sorting, and chatting with guests to ensure a great vibe. You’re the first smiling face festival-goers meet – and the one they can always come to. So be the volunteer you would want to meet yourself!

ABOUT YOU

You must be 18+ years old and ready for physically active work. The job can be demanding, so you should be prepared to stay active and put in the effort during your shifts. No prior volunteer or festival experience is needed. Our managers and supervisors will be there to guide and support you if you have any questions or feel unsure about any tasks.

In return, we expect you to bring good energy and show up to your shifts with a smile, so we can have a great time together. We work as a team, support each other, and make sure both the guests and ourselves have an amazing experience.

  • We offer to call you if you have questions about the volunteer role before the festival – just email us your phone number

ABOUT US

Since 2001, we’ve been responsible for creating a great environment for festival-goers in the camping areas at Roskilde Festival. We have many years of experience and also help plan various initiatives at the festival. The team behind Team Qare volunteers themselves, working all year to make the festival happen and to create the best conditions for our volunteers. We care about creating a cozy and supportive environment. That includes offering access to a private backstage area where you can relax, socialize, and store or prepare your own food (fridge, toaster, etc.).

As a volunteer with us, you support local scouting work that gives children and youth – regardless of economic background – the chance to join a community where they gain lifelong experiences and friendships. All proceeds from Team Q go to the scout groups 1st & 2nd Birkerød (The Danish Scout Association). The funds support activities and camps for the kids, as well as new initiatives like special needs scouting and family scouting.

ABOUT THE TASK

As a Green Guardian Sorting Guide, your role is to help staff the sorting stations at the festival. Sorting waste helps reduce resource waste and contributes to the goal of achieving a greener festival.

The purpose of your role is to ensure that waste is sorted correctly at the festival and that participants have the opportunity to do so at the sorting stations.

Your tasks will include:

  • Guiding participants to sort their waste correctly at the sorting station, as well as ensuring the station remains presentable.
  • Engaging in proactive conversations with participants, encouraging them to sort their waste.
  • Managing and cleaning the area around the sorting station.
  • Socializing with curious participants.
  • Providing guidance and information on sorting and recycling to festival-goers.

This important task will take place in areas centrally located in the festival's camping grounds, where you will have ample opportunity to inform and motivate festival-goers to sort their waste. Your efforts will contribute to a greener festival.

As a 32-hour volunteer, you will have four shifts of 8 hours each, spread across the entire festival week (from the festival's first day on June 28th to Sunday, July 6th). You will have the chance to influence your shift schedule, but you can expect to have two shifts during the First Days and two shifts during the music days.

You will work alongside at least one other 32-hour volunteer. You also have the option to sign up with a friend. Shifts will mostly take place during the daytime, so there is no night work, and you won’t miss the biggest concerts.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are passionate about helping create a greener festival
  • You thrive among trash and waste
  • You enjoy talking to happy festival-goers who need to dispose of waste and items for direct reuse
  • At times, you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and do some hard work
  • You’re comfortable being proactive and available to answer questions about waste sorting

ABOUT US

Team Participant Sorting and Recycling is an integral part of Roskilde Festival. The team consists of 10 year-round volunteers who work throughout the year to plan and develop initiatives aimed at increasing the sorting of waste for recycling and reuse at the festival. In addition, several hundred festival volunteers help turn these plans into reality and fulfill the goals during the festival. This is where you come in!

We have many years of experience with some waste initiatives, while others are brand new in our ongoing efforts to improve year after year and sort more waste, reducing it from the festival grounds so that resources can be utilized in the best possible way. We hope you will join the team and contribute to making Roskilde Festival cleaner and more sustainable. In return, we will do our very best to create a great festival where you, as a volunteer, feel seen, heard, and appreciated – both for who you are and for the work you do.

ABOUT THE TASK

It’s all about reuse, and it takes place at the campsite—mostly when people are heading home. We’re called REUSEFUL and we work with the festival’s reuse profile.

So we’re looking for a bunch of great reuse enthusiasts who can tell treasure from trash, find it hard to accept wastefulness and indifference, and want to make a positive impact on the world.

  • We collect and sort abandoned items so everything ends up in the right containers
  • We pass valuable materials on to NGOs, designers, and artists
  • We leave the festival grounds as clean as possible, so reusable things don’t become waste

We work with pop-up stations where festivalgoers can drop off good stuff they don’t have the energy to bring home. We set up on Saturday and are on duty Sunday and Monday, after the festival. That’s when the NGOs come and collect the items. It’s a very meaningful task, and we have fun doing it.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our team offers following accessibility

  • We offer the possibility to sit down frequently during shifts
  • We offer tasks that don’t require reading or writing
  • We offer tasks that take place without noise and loud music
  • We offer tasks at a calm and steady pace
  • We offer the option to have a designated leader or volunteer buddy
  • We offer thorough and patient guidance until you feel comfortable in the task
  • We offer that your team leader can stay in touch with a family member or friend outside the festival, if needed

ABOUT YOU

  • You get a kick out of making the world a better place
  • You understand the importance of sustainability
  • And you’d like to have most of your free time while the music is playing, and take shifts in the days after

We’re also looking for people to drive our 6 vehicles and collect piles of good stuff for the warehouse. Some who want to manage the warehouse and distribute items to NGOs—and others who want to lead the team as supervisors. Lots of roles to choose from!

ABOUT US

We’re a campaign directly under Roskilde Festival—where reuse is a high priority. So not an independent organization. Meals are provided on Sunday/Monday at the festival, and we have a cozy base for breaks.

WANT TO JOIN US?

We’re looking for 75 awesome people.

So if this sounds like something for you, send us an email at frivillig.reuseful@roskilde-festival.dk.

ABOUT THE TASK

Do you like being in the front line and want to contribute to a cleaner and greener festival? Then join our team of binfluencers – a volunteer job that makes a difference!

As a binfluencer, you will be right at the heart of the festival experience, walking through the camping areas with a small team to inform excited festival-goers about the various ways they can dispose of their waste, particularly educating them about waste sorting in their own camps and handing out bags for the purpose.

Specifically, your role will be to:

  • Help festival-goers sort their waste while they are in their camps.
  • Guide guests on how to sort their waste into the familiar waste fractions.
  • Ensure that all camps have the necessary waste bags so the waste is sorted correctly.
  • Advise guests on how to dispose of their waste properly.
  • Direct them to local sorting stations.
  • Encourage guests to take their camping gear home when they leave.

The job is 32 hours in total, spread over 4 shifts of eight hours. We aim to have you work two shifts before the music starts and two shifts during the music days. Shifts are usually scheduled between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. You can definitely join the team with your friends.

ABOUT YOU

  • First and foremost, you are passionate about creating a cleaner and greener festival.
  • You are friendly, approachable, and service-minded.
  • You enjoy engaging in conversations with others and thrive in an environment where things can sometimes get busy. On the other hand, you can also maintain a positive attitude during quieter periods.

We have many years of experience with some waste initiatives, while others are brand new in our ongoing efforts to improve year after year and reduce the amount of waste on the festival grounds, sorting it so resources can be utilized in the best possible way. We hope you will join the team and contribute to making Roskilde Festival cleaner and more sustainable. In return, we will do our very best to create a great festival where you, as a volunteer, feel seen, heard, and appreciated – both for who you are and for the work you do.

ABOUT THE TASK

We are looking for volunteer service hosts for area P, which consists of the following camping types:

Settle’n Share: A community area where the audience has applied in advance and been approved to stay in this area.

Get A Place (GAP South): A special camping product where the audience has paid for an area and is assigned one or more camping fields for their camp. The area is reserved until Sunday, June 29th, at 16:00. After that, the camping area will be opened for the rest of the festival audience, who can use the unused areas.

Get A Late Spot: A brand new concept at Roskilde Festival in 2025 for those who want to camp in an area where they are guaranteed a spot for their tent, even if they arrive close to the last days of the festival.

As a service host, you will help ensure a friendly and festive atmosphere at the festival. This includes tasks such as guiding campers to their spots, patrolling the camping area, assisting the audience (either in the camping area or at the Skyliner), keeping toilets functional (we assist the toilet team in maintaining the toilets, but we do not handle thorough cleaning), facilitating waste sorting, and generally talking to the audience about topics like behavior and maintaining a good festival vibe – Orange is a feeling...

Your volunteer effort will consist of 4 shifts of 8 hours each between June 28th and July 6th, including at least one night shift and one shift during the "Final Days". ABOUT THE TASK

What will you be doing?

  • You will have shifts on the festival grounds - you will contribute to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere by explaining the rules about refunding and cash payments, answering questions, helping to solve any problems and misunderstandings, and, especially in the refund booths, helping to keep the area tidy
  • You should be outgoing and initiate contact with the refund collectors
  • Create a sustainable experience for all parties present at the festival (yourself included!)
  • Pass on important information to your great colleagues

Practical information:

  • The shifts are in the period between Saturday 28th of June and Sunday 6th July of 2025
  • You will take part in a mandatory information meeting before the festival on 21st of June at 14:00 – 16:00 in Roskilde
  • You will work 32 hours (4 shifts), divided into morning and evening shifts.
  • You will only have shifts while the refunding stations are open, so the shifts are from 7.30 AM to 3.30 PM and 6.30 PM to 2.30 AM (this can vary slightly depending on Team Pant´s opening hours)
  • Your shifts will be with a group of volunteers, so you have the possibility of taking the shift together with a friend
  • You get to choose which shift package you would like from the available shift packages. Your shifts are spread across both the warm-up and music days
  • You will never be expected to intervene in a conflict, but we expect you to be observant and to contribute constructively to prevent possible conflicts
  • You will be assigned a coordinator, whom you always are able to contact during your shifts

As a volunteer at Roskilde Festival, you will get:

  • A festival ticket with access to free showers, volunteer camping, 4 meal tickets, 10 drink tickets, and access to the volunteer lounge, where you can buy cheap food and drinks and hang out with other volunteers.
  • Our Responsible Refund team will also have fun social events planned before, throughout, and after the festival! This includes setting up our tents after our information meeting and grabbing a beer, going to concerts and talks together, and having a post-festival picnic together.

ABOUT YOU

You will be working as a refund guide! Your work will be taking place throughout the entire festival area, including in front of the festival refund stations. As a refund guide, you will work in pairs to cover one area – and that means you will probably walk for the most part of your shift.

Who are you?

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have good people skills - you are ready to initiate contact and are curious about others
  • You feel confident talking to people from different cultures who are in a vulnerable position
  • You are happy to help where you can but
  • It will be a great advantage if you speak Spanish, Italian, Romanian, French, Portuguese or
similar, it is not a requirement

ABOUT US

Every year, hundreds of people from all over Europe come to Roskilde Festival to collect refundable bottles ("pant") to make a living for themselves and their families. They are an important part of Roskilde Festival because they help clean up and recycle the pant from all the other festival guests. Every year, new refund collectors come to the festival, and many of them are unaware of the festival's rules and do not speak either Danish or English.

We are a social project called Responsible Refund by Roskilde Festival – and we are aiming to support and celebrate the refund collectors both while they are out on the ground working and when they are taking a break in our Lounge called The Big Chill. To guide the bottle collectors and keep the Refunders' Lounge running, we need engaged, sociable and open-minded volunteers. So come and help us create a good experience for the refund collectors - and no, you will not be counting or collecting refund at the festival. :)

The task involves four shifts of 8 hours each, spread across the festival. Typically, you will take two shifts during the setup days and two during the concert days. We will do our best to accommodate your requests for sharing shifts with friends, so you can enjoy the festival together both during and outside your shifts.

To be a volunteer in the booth, we expect you to:

  • Be able to take four 8-hour shifts, including two late evening shifts.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be reliable and committed to your shifts.

Community and festival atmosphere

For us, it's not just about the tasks – it’s about the community and the chance to enjoy the music together. We make sure to organize social events, eat together, or enjoy the festival’s concerts in each other’s company. • We have a cozy backstage area with hot meals, snacks, and cold drinks during your shifts.

  • You’ll have time to rest and recharge – and we support each other all the way through.

  • Our leadership team is experienced, present, and ready to guide you through every shift with smiles and good energy.

With us, it’s not just about the food – it’s about people. Come as you are – and become part of the team!
