In Augusta Schackinger, Denmark has gained a new songwriting talent with an ability to create poignant songs that move between the real and the symbolic.
With an ambition to embrace multiple generations of listeners, Augusta Schackinger writes songs that combine dreamy pop and classic singer/songwriter styles with lyrical melancholy. Although she has just turned 20, her musical universe already appears well-rounded and mature.
She released her first single, "Stjerneklare Nætter", in 2022, which already clearly demonstrated her ability to create melancholic moods and evocative lyrics. The song was used in Jonas Risvig's youth drama series Grænser and now has over 1 million streams on Spotify. Since then, she has released songwriting gems such as "Et Sted På Vesterbro", "Febersol" and, not least, the massive hit "Ødelagt Byen" with Olivver.
In 2026, we can expect lots of new music from Augusta Schackinger, who has also put together a band to really bring her excellent songs to life. We can look forward to this when the young talent visits Roskilde Festival this summer.
