Indulge in a rare rhythmic experience when Muskila and Simona Abdallah present a unique concert at this year's Roskilde Festival, where traditional Middle Eastern percussion and electronic rhythms come together in a powerful union.
With Kurdish and Palestinian roots and an open artistic vision, the two musicians explore the rhythms of the diaspora in encounters with rave aesthetics and club-oriented soundscapes. Through the raw and pulsating energy of the rhythms, they weave tales of resistance, hope, celebration and cross-cultural musical encounters.
Muskila could already be experienced at Roskilde Festival in 2024, where he impressed with his visionary blend of traditional Kurdish rhythms and cutting-edge club music. On his upcoming album, Muskila delves even deeper into the vital world of rhythms with dub mutations, ritual intensity and improvised nerve.
In the renowned Danish-Palestinian percussionist Simona Abdallah, he has found a unique collaborator whose hand-played grooves and traditional percussion instruments add organic warmth, virtuoso precision and rich insight into Middle Eastern rhythms. Together, they create a magical immersive experience on stage, where powerful visuals and the ritualistic power of the rhythms build a bridge between deep traditions and visions of the future.
