The best of DJ culture merges with the unpredictable magic of live concerts when Club Live present their innovative format at Roskilde Festival.
Behind the name Club Live, we find the creative core of Maria Paulina (curator, event manager), Mikael Hegelund (musician, producer) and John Vincent (DJ, producer), who together have created a whole new way of rethinking club culture, band energy and performance. With the DJ in the role of band leader and conductor, a lively, organic and almost jazzy interaction is created with an ensemble selected for the occasion.
Nothing is planned in advance. Fragments of familiar songs are separated on the spot, beats are extended, vocals are isolated, bass lines are reshaped. And in this improvised space, some of Denmark's sharpest musicians and dancers jump in; not with prepared routines, but with instinct. They listen. They move. They respond.
The improvised format makes every Club Live concert a unique experience, where the audience is also involved in the feedback loop with performers and DJs, influencing the flow with their collective energy. We can therefore promise that a very special experience awaits when Club Live takes over Roskilde Festival with a line-up put together especially for the occasion.
