The last time she performed at Roskilde Festival in 2024, she took the entire audience to the moon in a spine-tingling concert, according to Danish media Soundvenue's reviewer. Now she returns to open this year's Orange Stage with her magical pop universe, which leaves room for both heartfelt sincerity and moments of sing-alongs. And she brings with her lots of new material and a string of hits.
Pil's ability to create pop music with her brain, heart and emotions on her sleeve, where melancholy and musical playfulness go hand in hand, has made her one of the most distinctive voices in Danish pop in recent times. She has won several awards, collaborated with notable Danish artists such as Andreas Odbjerg, Burhan G, Anton Westerlin and Medina, and played on some of the country's biggest stages. But first and foremost, she has captured the hearts of countless people with songs that, like close friends, move into your life.
In her melodic songs, Pil embraces both loneliness and love, the euphoria of the dance floor and the long journey home after rejection. She has an ability to capture the vulnerability and complex emotional life of human beings with simple means, and this makes Pil's music deeply relatable, both when you feel the rush of falling in love and when you have to pick up your broken heart from the floor.
Pil made her breakthrough with her debut EP Når Du Går Herfra (2019) and has firmly cemented her position as one of the big names in Danish pop with the album releases Kom Vi Flyver, Siger Du (2022) and Hvis Du Tør Drømme (2024). She is currently working on new music, which we can look forward to experiencing under the open summer sky when Pil takes to the Orange Stage for the first time with her fantastic band. And there will definitely be plenty of room for sing-alongs with well-known and beloved hits.
