- Friday 4 July10:45, Food Is Now
How does a small bean become the coffee you can’t live without?
At Food Is Now, Klaus Thomsen – co-founder of Coffee Collective and former World Barista Champion – invites you to a morning talk about The Amazing Complexity of Your Daily Cup. He’ll take you on a journey from the coffee farms to your cup, sharing stories about the people growing your coffee, why it’s often too cheap, and what really shapes its flavour.
After the talk, stick around for a guided coffee tasting where you'll get to experience just how different coffee can taste – depending on the bean, the country, and the craft.
For the full experience, sign up for the Food Is Now Breakfast and enjoy a fresh brew alongside a classic Danish BMO (Bolle med Ost – sourdough bun with butter and cheese). Tickets will be available in the shop from 22 May. You're also very welcome to just drop by and listen.
Coffee Collective, co-founded by Klaus Thomsen, is on a mission to improve coffee for everyone – from farmer to drinker. They import beans directly, roast them at their Frederiksberg roastery, and serve them in eight shops across Copenhagen – always exploring what coffee can truly be.
