- Tuesday 1 July14:00, Re:Act
What do Greenland, climate change, and Palestine have in common? How can we promote global solidarity in a time when injustices and conflicts are more prevalent than ever before?
Operation Day’s Work invites you to a conversation where three young voices will share their perspectives and experiences from the current challenges they are working on. Together, they will explore the commonalities and differences in the global struggles, as well as the power structures that impact us all – no matter where we are located. These struggles are interconnected, and cross-border collaboration can create a stronger understanding of global challenges.
On stage, you will meet:
Nina Sikkersoq – Inuit artist and activist engaged in the Palestine movement
Greta Thunberg – Climate activist also involved in Palestine
Dalia Kababo – Danish-Palestinian who has played a central role in Palestine mobilization in Denmark
For over 40 years, Operation Day’s Work has been working on youth engagement in global issues of solidarity and justice. However, in recent years, these struggles have become more fragmented, and the conversation at Re:Act aims to rebuild common understanding and cooperation. The conversation will be moderated by Maya Msafiri.
Re:Act is presented by Rapolitics, Roskilde Festival, and the Danish Institute for Human Rights, with support from the Tuborg Foundation and the OpEn Fund.
