You’ve probably heard it before: Roskilde Festival is a non-profit event. But what does that really mean?
It means that simply by being part of the festival, you’re helping to make a difference. And right now, that difference is real.
Every year, we donate our profits to projects that support children and young people – in Denmark and around the world. One special part of that giving is the Orange Donation: Here, we invite an artist from our Orange Stage lineup to choose a cause they care deeply about. Their choice becomes a symbol of what this community stands for.
This year, it's Artigeardit who has made the choice. And he has chosen an organisation that is currently fighting to save lives in the midst of a war-torn hell.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society will receive DKK 500,000 to support their urgent humanitarian work in Gaza.
The Palestinian Red Crescent is part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The organisation operates under extremely challenging conditions in Gaza, providing lifesaving first aid, medical care, and psychosocial support to civilians – especially children – caught in one of today’s most devastating humanitarian crises.

"I have decided to support the Palestinian Red Crescent because they are in the middle of the catastrophe, helping where the need is greatest. If we can help change just a few lives, I believe that’s a good and important thing to do."

"The donation from Roskilde Festival allows us to keep creating safe spaces for children in Gaza – places where they can play, have a meal, and simply be children for a moment in the middle of war. It makes a world of difference."
Orange Donation is one of the things that make Roskilde Festival more than just music. It shows what happens when artists and festivalgoers come together to create real change. It’s about taking responsibility – and using our platform to support those who need it most.
"This is an incredible message to send to people who feel completely abandoned. When Roskilde Festival and its audience reach out, we’re saying loud and clear: You are not alone. And that matters – not just financially, but on a deeply human level, in a reality no child should ever experience," says Anders Ladekarl.
Over the years, Roskilde Festival has supported a wide range of humanitarian and social initiatives – both locally and globally. This year’s Orange Donation continues that tradition and shows how music and solidarity are powerfully connected.
So next time you find yourself in the crowd in front of Orange Stage, remember: You’re not just at a concert. You are part of something bigger – something that reaches far beyond the festival and brings hope to people who truly need it.
