Your festival experience starts the moment you set off for Roskilde. The better your arrival plan, the faster you’ll be inside—ready to meet your crew, raise a toast, and pitch that first tent. That’s why we’ve gathered everything you need to arrive smoothly, quickly, and without hassle.
Roskilde Festival 2025 opens on Saturday 28 June at 16:00. Whether you're arriving on foot, by bike, train, shuttle bus, or car, there are plenty of easy ways to get here.

This is the official opening day of Roskilde Festival 2025 – and here’s your smart guide to arriving the right way and entering at the right spot.
All of Camping East is designated for Community Camping and Special Camping.
There are several Community Camping areas: Clean Out Loud, Dream City, Common Ground, Roskilde Road Trip, Leave No Trace, Handicamp and Settle’n Share – along with a range of Special Camping areas including Rent A Pitched Tent East, Get A Place East, and Tenthouse. All these areas are booked and reserved in advance.
Use Entrance East
If you're staying in a Community or Special Camping area, you should use Entrance East, which opens on Saturday 28 June at 16:00. You can exchange your ticket for a wristband at Wristband Exchange located at Entrance South – open until midnight.
Alternatively, you can enter through Entrance South, which also opens on Saturday 28 June at 16:00. Please note: The Wristband Exchange at Entrance South is only open until 22:00 that day.
Walk or bike to Entrance East
You can walk or cycle from Roskilde Station to Entrance East. Bike parking is available near the entrance.
Take a Nobina shuttle bus to Entrance East
From Roskilde Station, you can ride the Nobina shuttle bus to Entrance East. Tickets are sold onboard and cost DKK 28 – tickets can only be purchased by card. Once at Entrance East, you'll exchange your ticket for a wristband at Wristband Exchange before entering the campsite.
You can also catch the Nobina shuttle bus from Køge Nord (DKK 55) and from Copenhagen Bus Terminal near Dybbølsbro (DKK 90). Tickets are sold onboard and can only be purchased by card.

Arrive by festival train
From Roskilde Station, you can take a train directly to Roskilde Festival Stationsplads, located by Camping West. From there, you can walk through the campsite to reach Camping East. Trains run every 20–40 minutes, and the ride only takes a few minutes.
Buy your ticket on the platform at Roskilde Station. Tickets cost DKK 28 and can only be purchased by card.

Arrive by private transport (drop-off)
We strongly recommend using public transport whenever possible.
If you’re arriving by car, head to Drop-off Zone East at Øde-Hastrupvej. From there, continue on foot to Entrance East.
You’ll exchange your ticket for a wristband at Entrance East and then proceed to your camping area.
Park at Park n’ Pay East or Park n’ Pay South
If you're driving and need parking, you’ll find spaces near Øde-Hastrupvej (Park n’ Pay East) or Vor Frue Hovedgade (Park n’ Pay South).
Parking is paid, and we strongly recommend booking in advance to secure a spot. Parking opens for booking in our online shop on Thursday 8 May at 11:00.
Parking for GreenMobility cars
In collaboration with GreenMobility, we’ve set aside parking spaces for their eco-friendly shared cars at Park n’ Pay Far West, Drop-off Zone West, and north of Entrance North.
Early Entry
If you want to be among the first to set foot on the campsite—and avoid potentially long queues at the official opening—you can book Early Entry to East. Choose a specific 30-minute arrival slot between 10:00 and 15:30. Learn more about Early Entry here.
Early Entry – Entrance East
This option is for those walking from Roskilde Station, arriving by bike, taking a Nobina shuttle bus to Entrance East, or arriving by car.
Early Entry tickets will be available via our online shop starting Thursday 8 May at 11:00.
Early Entry – Train from Roskilde St. to the festival station
You can also take the train directly from Roskilde Station to Roskilde Festival Stationsplads at Camping West. Trains run every 20–40 minutes starting Saturday 28 June at 09:30. Travel time is just a few minutes.
This requires a special Early Entry – Entrance Train Station ticket, which costs DKK 78 and will be available in our online shop from Thursday 8 May at 11:00.

Early Entry – Bus from Hillerød St. to Entrance East
You can also get Early Entry with a direct bus from Hillerød Station to Entrance East, arriving straight into the entry system. Tickets go on sale in our online shop on Thursday 8 May at 11:00. The trip takes about one hour*, with six departure times on Saturday 28 June:
08:30, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, and 15:00.
The ticket price, including Early Entry access, is DKK 110.
*Due to potential traffic delays, we cannot guarantee that the 14:00 and 15:00 buses will arrive before the official opening at 16:00.
Important: If you've booked a spot in Get A Place, Get A Silent Place, or Get A Silent Spot, these areas remain reserved until Sunday 29 June at 16:00. After that, they’re open to everyone—just follow the rules for your area. If you're unsure, ask the nearest tower or camp info point.
If you've purchased any of the following Special Camping products, your reservation does not expire: Rent A Pitched Tent, Tenthouse, Get A Late Spot, Caravan Camping, MC Camping, and Sleep-in Buses.
The footbridge between Camping East and Camping West opens on Saturday 28 June at 10:00. You can use it if you want to access a regular camping spot in West with your Early Entry pass for East.
This is the official opening day of Roskilde Festival 2025 – and here’s your guide to arriving smart and entering through the right entrance.
Camping West is primarily a general camping area with no advance reservations. However, a section north of Roskilde Festival Station is designated as Get A Place and requires pre-booking.
If you arrive and find that regular Camping in West is full, you can go to the Camping Allocation info point, located just east of the footbridge. They’ll help guide you to an area where tent space is still available. Camping Allocation will remain open until midnight on Saturday 28 June.
Below, you'll find your options for getting to Camping West.
Note: It is not permitted to reserve extra space using tarps or similar items.
Arrive by Festival Train
From Roskilde Station, you can take a direct train to Roskilde Festival Stationsplads, located right next to Camping West.
Trains run every 20–40 minutes, and the ride only takes a few minutes.
Buy your ticket on the platform at Roskilde Station. Tickets cost DKK 28 and can only be purchased by card.

Upon arrival at Camping West, you can exchange your ticket for a wristband at Wristband Exchange and enter the campsite.
Note: You can’t use the train to Roskilde Festival Station before 16:00 on Saturday 28 June unless you have an Early Entry – Entrance Train Station ticket.
Walk or Bike from Roskilde Station to Maglegårdsvej
Starting Saturday 28 June at 16:00, you can exchange your ticket for a wristband at Check-In, Maglegårdsvej 14. From there, walk along Darupvej and enter through Entrance North to reach Camping West.
If you’re arriving by bike, you’ll find bicycle parking near Entrance West or Entrance North.
Arrive by Private transport (Drop-Off)
We strongly recommend using public transport whenever possible. However, if you're coming by car, you can park in Park n’ Pay West or Park n’ Pay Far West. Parking requires payment, and we strongly recommend booking in advance to ensure a spot. Parking will be available for purchase in our online shop starting Thursday 8 May at 11:00.
Parking for GreenMobility Cars
In partnership with GreenMobility, we’ve reserved parking spaces for their eco-friendly car sharing service at Park n’ Pay Far West, Drop-off Zone West, and north of Entrance North.

With an Early Entry ticket, you can access the camping area before the official opening.

You have two options for arriving early at Camping West:
Early Entry – Arrive by Train
Take the train directly from Roskilde Station to Roskilde Festival Stationsplads at Camping West. Trains run every 20–40 minutes, starting Saturday 28 June at 09:30. Travel time is just a few minutes.
This requires a special Early Entry – Entrance Train Station ticket, which costs DKK 78 and will be available in our online shop from Thursday 8 May at 11:00.

You can also enter early through Entrance West, ideal if you're arriving on foot, by bike, or by car.

Alternatively, you can buy Early Entry to East and use the footbridge to access a general camping spot in West.
Note: An Early Entry ticket does not guarantee space in the regular camping area in West. However, we guarantee that all festivalgoers will find a camping spot. If West is full, head to Camping Allocation east of the footbridge before midnight on Saturday 28 June for assistance.
Important: If you're staying in Camping West, do not use the festival shuttle buses, as they only stop at Entrance East.

Important: Wristband Exchange at Entrance South is only open on Saturday 28 June from 10:00 to 22:00. If you arrive after that and still need to exchange your ticket for a wristband, you'll need to go to Entrance East instead.
Walk or Bike to Entrance East
You can walk or cycle from Roskilde Station to Entrance East. Bicycle parking is available near the entrance.

The easiest way to reach Camping South is to take a Nobina shuttle bus from Roskilde Station to Entrance East. Nobina shuttle buses run between the station and Entrance East throughout the entire festival week. Tickets are sold onboard for DKK 28 and can only be purchased by card.
You can also take the Nobina shuttle bus from Køge Nord (DKK 55) or from Copenhagen Bus Terminal at Dybbølsbro (DKK 90) to Entrance East. Tickets are sold onboard and can only be purchased by card.

Once you arrive at Entrance East, walk toward Entrance South along Vor Frue Hovedgade. There, you’ll find Wristband Exchange, where you’ll receive your festival wristband.
Arrive by Private Transport (Drop-Off)
We strongly recommend using public transport whenever possible. However, if you're arriving by private car, head to the Drop-off Zone East on Øde Hastrupvej. From there, walk to Entrance South, where you can exchange your ticket for a wristband at Wristband Exchange.
Park at Park n’ Pay South
If you're driving and need parking, use Park n’ Pay South.
From there, walk along Vor Frue Hovedgade to Entrance South, where you’ll exchange your ticket for a wristband.

By this time, most festivalgoers have already settled in, and we expect a smooth and relaxed arrival experience. Here’s your guide to arriving smart.
All of Camping East is one large area designated for Community Camping and Special Camping. Community Camping includes areas like Clean Out Loud, Dream City, Common Ground, Roskilde Road Trip, Leave No Trace, Handicamp, and Settle’n Share. Special Camping areas include Rent A Pitched Tent East, Get A Place East, and Tenthouse. All of these areas are booked in advance.

Take a Nobina Shuttle Bus from Copenhagen or Køge Nord
Throughout the week, Nobina shuttle buses run between Copenhagen Bus Terminal at Dybbølsbro and Entrance East. Tickets cost DKK 90, are sold onboard, and can only be purchased by card.
On Saturday 28 June and from Wednesday 2 July through Saturday 5 July, shuttle buses also run from Køge Nord Station to Entrance East.
Tickets cost DKK 55, are sold onboard, and can only be purched by card.

There is bicycle parking at both Entrance North and Entrance West.
Arrive by Private Transport (Drop-Off)
We strongly recommend using public transport whenever possible. However, if you're arriving by private transport, drive to the Drop-off Zone West on Darupvej. From there, walk to Entrance West, where you’ll receive your festival wristband at Wristband Exchange.

On Saturday 28 June and from Wednesday 2 July through Saturday 5 July, shuttle buses also run from Køge Nord Station to Entrance East. Tickets cost DKK 55, are sold onboard, and can only be purchased by card.

You can walk or bike from Roskilde Station along Maglegårdsvej toward Rent A Pitched Tent North. Exchange your ticket for a wristband at Check-In, Maglegårdsvej 14, then continue into the camping area.

Opening Hours
On Saturday 28 June, from 16:00 to 20:00, you can exchange your ticket for a festival wristband directly at the entrance to Caravan North and then proceed into the camping area.
If you arrive on any of the following days, you can still check in your vehicle between 08:00 and 24:00. However, you must then go to Entrance West to exchange your ticket for a wristband.
Early Entry for Caravan guests
If you want to be among the first to set up your caravan, sleep-in bus, or motorcycle in the area, you can book Early Entry. Choose a specific 30-minute arrival slot between 10:00 and 15:30 on Saturday 28 June.
Note: You only need one Early Entry ticket per caravan, bus, or motorcycle – not per person. Tickets cost DKK 50 and can be purchased in our online shop from Thursday 8 May at 11:00.
This area is specially designated for participants sleeping in caravans and is accessed via Kamstrupvej.
Opening hours
On Saturday 28 June, from 16:00 to 20:00, you can exchange your ticket for a festival wristband directly at the entrance to Caravan North and then proceed into the camping area.
If you arrive on one of the following days, you can still check in your caravan between 08:00 and 24:00. However, you’ll need to go to Entrance West to exchange your ticket for a wristband.
Early Entry for Caravan South
If you want to be among the first to set up your caravan, you can book Early Entry. Choose a specific 30-minute arrival slot between 10:00 and 15:30 on Saturday 28 June.
Note: You only need one Early Entry ticket per caravan – not per person. Tickets cost DKK 50 and will be available in our online shop starting Thursday 8 May at 11:00.
