With her powerful voice and authentic style, Kwn has quickly become a shining star in the alternative R&B scene. Behind the name is London-based musician Khyra Leah Wilson, who had a massive breakthrough in 2024 with the single "Worst Behaviour".
The song made her a hot name on the international R&B scene, where she was named Billboard's R&B Rookie of the Month, among other accolades, and in 2025 she was nominated for Best New International Act at the BET Awards. Kwn teamed up with the American R&B star on their track "Clothes Off", and Kehlani also featured on a remix version of "Worst Behaviour", whose iconic video ignited the hype and also showcased Kwn as an artist who uses her songs to explore queer sexuality.
Kwn gained a broad musical foundation growing up, as her father, who worked as a DJ, exposed her to a diverse mix of genres such as house, soul and garage, just as his Nigerian background has influenced her inspirations from a wealth of African music genres.
In 2025, she released her debut EP, With All Due Respect, which garnered strong critical acclaim and also earned her a nomination for Best R&B Artist at the 2026 Brit Awards. She herself has recently teased new music under the confident tagline "Oh I am so back". 2026 could very well be Kwn's big breakthrough year, so there's every reason to catch her when she gives her first Danish concert at Roskilde Festival.
