Michael Williams has been part of the Danish hip-hop scene for several years, but with his debut album Willo from 2025, he has truly cemented his position as a leading voice, combining international trap aesthetics and inspiration from old school American hip-hop with a personal tone.
With a concentrated sound, heavy trap beats and a tight playing time of 20 minutes, Michael Williams delivers a self-portrait of a unique figure in Danish hip-hop with a consistent artistic vision. He also shows himself to be an artist with a flair for storytelling with theatrical effects, and with features from artists such as KESI, Noah Carter and Wicky, the album marks him as a gravitational center in Danish rap.
He has also proven this in his highly captivating shows, where his flair for drama and showmanship comes even more clearly to the fore. Michael Williams manages to create shows that embrace both the party atmosphere, the energy and an authentic presence with close audience contact and accomplished scenography.
This has made Michael Williams one of Danish hip-hop's most prominent live acts, delivering concerts of a rare high standard with strong artistic integrity and aesthetic sensibility. So there is every reason to turn up when he takes the stage at Roskilde Festival this summer
